J. Carlyle Ausley, Jr. - Founder
Carlyle is a 1956 graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Building Construction and a minor in Civil Engineering. He founded Ausley Construction in 1958 and served as it’s President and CEO for over 40 years. In 1990 he was appointed by Governor Bob Martinez to serve on the Florida Board of Building Codes and Standards. During his years as head of Ausley Construction he also served on many community and non-profit boards including Marion County Home Builder’s Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, City of Ocala Board of Examiners of Contractors, Ocala Kiwanis Club, Boys and Girls Club of Marion County, Volunteer Service Bureau, Marion County Chamber of Commerce, Industrial Development Commission, and Big Sun Health Care Board – Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Steve Ausley - Principal
Steve is a 1994 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction and holds a state certified General Contractors License CGC1520004. Steve has over 20 years of experience in commercial construction and has worked as a field superintendent, project manager and chief estimator for Ausley Construction. He currently is a Principal and Owner along with his brother Ken. Steve was member of the National Association of Home Builders - Student Chapter and served on the Ocala/Marion Chamber of Commerce Planning & Development Committee.
Kenneth C. Ausley - Principal
Ken is a 1990 graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. After graduation he worked for twelve years with a faith-based non-profit and served as a director in Tampa/St. Petersburg and the San Francisco Bay Area. He returned to the family business in 2003 and currently is a Principal and Owner along with his brother Steve. Mr. Ausley remains active in the non-profit sector as well as the community at large through his service on various boards including First Avenue National Bank, Kimberly’s Center for Child Protection/Marion County Children’s Advocacy Center, the Marion County Value Adjustment Board, the City of Ocala’s 2035 Vision Leadership Group, Ocala/Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership Board and the College of Central Florida Institute Advisory Committee. He is also the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Ambleside School of Ocala, Inc., a non-profit, private K-12 school. Mr. Ausley also serves on the board of the school’s parent organization, Ambleside Schools International.

Aimee Frey - Project Manager
Aimee has been with Ausley Construction since 2004. She has a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Design and a Masters of Science in Building Construction Management from the University of Florida. Aimee has extensive construction management experience on schools, banks, medical, retail, religious and industrial projects. She has worked as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager. Her expertise include overall project coordination, preparing bid packages, take offs, permitting, contracts, scheduling, submittal review, project tracking and paperwork (RFI’s, ASI’s, etc.) job costing, subcontractor/vendor payment application review, punch list and close out documents. Aimee is a LEED Accredited Professional and FDEP Stormwater Management Inspector.
Richard Ashby - Superintendent
Richard has been with Ausley Construction since 2005. He has over 25 years of construction experience on schools, banks, medical, retail, condo, high-rise and industrial projects. During that time he has served as a Carpenter, Project Forman, Project Engineer and Superintendent. His expertise include on site quality control, scheduling subcontractors and vendors, maintaining and updating construction schedules, on site safety, punch out and warranty items.
Terry Forth - Superintendent
Terry has been with Ausley Construction since 1998. Terry has over 28 years experience in commercial construction on schools, churches, banks, medical, retail and industrial structures. His current responsibilities include on site quality control, scheduling subcontractors and vendors, maintaining and updating construction schedules, on site safety, punch out and warranty items.
